Company Member Spotlight: WIN

April 18, 2021

Tell us about your company!

WIN is an esports company that offers four main products. We run an esports media platform at WIN.gg, a digital sportsbook at Winners.bet, a sportsbook affiliate network at Winners.net, and a competitive league called WINNERS League. Each leverages a different component of the esports landscape, and all four work together in symmetry.

Why did your company get involved in the esports industry?

Esports is one of the fastest-growing industries in the world, and that’s clearly attractive from a business perspective. But for us, our company is really a passion project. Every member of our team is a lifelong gamer and followed or was directly involved in competitive gaming before coming to work with us. That has given us an in-depth understanding of the space, something we believe is absolutely key to having success in esports.

Since your company entered the esports industry, what has been the biggest industry change or trend that you’ve seen?

The industry is growing so rapidly that it changes every year in meaningful ways. But one of the biggest changes we’ve seen is the increase in interest from non-endemic companies looking to advertise, and from companies in the sports betting space wanting to be involved. With the industry’s growth being so strong, we’re only going to see more interested players joining the market moving forward.

What work has the company has already done within the esports industry? What do you see as the company’s biggest win since you started?

Our WIN.gg media platform is already one of the leading purveyors of esports media on the web. WINNERS League has seen several successful seasons, each of which has featured exponential growth in viewership. Winners.bet and Winners.net have begun to take their place in the industry’s early sports betting marketplace.

Our own rapid growth is probably the biggest proof of the validity of our company’s concept. We’ve seen exponential growth across our platforms in both audience and revenue, which has only further emboldened us to continue pushing forward in this nascent industry. And while we’re excited about the successes we’ve had to date, we’re even more excited about our future.

How do you plan to dominate the space?

We plan to leverage our four main products together, merging them with good business sense, and combining those business efforts with our native understanding of the esports space. We are all dedicated gamers who came into esports through our passion for competitive gaming, so we truly know and understand both this landscape and its audience.

What would your company like to see the esports industry do better?

It’s always going to be important for companies in the space to work not only towards their immediate benefit but also towards the long-term benefit of the industry. We’ve got a lot of work to do in making esports a successful industry in the longer term, and if we can all work earnestly towards that shared goal, we will all reap the benefits of it.

What does your company imagine the state of the esports industry will be like in 10 years and where do you imagine your company in that space?

The esports industry is only going to continue growing. The audience will be larger and its spending power will increase as it continues to mature. The companies that best understand that audience will be those who thrive as its growth continues, and we envision ourselves at the front of the pack in this regard. Our genuine understanding and appreciation of this industry is our greatest strength, and we look forward to helping to build it up for many years to come.
