Capcom Reports $113M Net Income for FY 2018, ‘Redoubles’ Esports Efforts

Game publisher Capcom’s Database-Link-e1521645463907 net income for the fiscal year ending March 31, 2019, was ¥12.55B ($113M USD), exceeding its forecast by 4.58% and growing 14.8% compared to FY 2017.

The company’s core Digital Contents business, which publishes videogames, brought in net sales of ¥82.98B ($750M) which accounts for 82.96% of the company’s total net sales of ¥100B ($909M), citing Resident Evil 2 as a major driver of revenue during the fiscal year. This was an increase of 11.9% YoY while the operating income of the segment grew 22% YoY to ¥23.32B ($212M).
