Member Spotlight: Deandre Jones

How did you get started in esports?

I haven’t really got to make an impact on the ESports Industry but I plan to be one of the best ethical equitable leaders there are in this space partnering with the best of the best companies and helping people of all walks of life create opportunities for themselves and their families! I want to be one of the best Esports companies in the world!

Since you’ve entered the esports industry, what has been the biggest industry change or trend that you’ve seen?

Although I haven’t truly entered the space truly yet! I knew it would surpass the NFL and all other Professional sports! It’s a way that some many different people of all walks of life come together! Although some people can’t play the Physical Sports they can play the virtual ones! I like the opportunities that colleges are creating also! I’d like to be create synergy with colleges creating opportunities for students in a space that new and only growing larger!

What work has the company done within the esports industry?

We haven’t truly done any work in the Esports space we look to after being in full operation I think we could truly create transformational opportunities for impoverished, poor and disenfranchised communities while being ethical and sustainable!

From your perspective, what would you like to see the esports industry do better?

I would like to see people of color being on these high profile and luxury teams I can’t say they aren’t but I’d like to see people from all backgrounds on some of the best luxurious and popular teams! Also I’d like to see older people learning the E-sports space!

What do you imagine the state of the esports industry will be like in 10 years?

I think it could be a hundred billion dollar industry easily! I think people from all industry and walks of life will see E-sports benefiting everyone it’s kids & young adults making a lot of revenue from streaming, gaming, podcast & all different avenues and I’d like to only expand those opportunities to across the states and eventually across the world! I think as gaming companies grow and create new systems and games it will only make people figure out the best way to leverage all the talent and opportunities to expand it everyone! But, I also see Jump Ahead L3C as a leader in this industry working to create equitable, sustainable, & equal opportunities for everyone.
