The mission of the chapter is to connect and support individuals, educators, and industry to strengthen the Houston Esports ecosystem by fostering collaboration, sharing resources, and creating clear pathways for education and career development.
One of the ways to be successful in the Esports industry is connecting and networking with areas so you can learn and grow, but it goes further than that. Groups like these build support and help one another. So, we want to bring people together both to strengthen the Houston Esports scene and to build meaningful connections between industry, individuals, and education. The goal is to create a space where ideas, resources, and opportunities can be shared to better prepare the individuals in the Esports industry and students for the future of Esports.
We believe this chapter will help create a more connected and sustainable Esports ecosystem in the Houston area. By bringing together individuals, educators, and industry voices, it will accelerate knowledge sharing, strengthen collaboration, build a stronger industry, and open clearer pathways for students into Esports careers. Over time, this leads to stronger programs, better prepared talent, and a more unified community that can grow together.
The chapter hosts at least two in-person/virtual offerings per year, with plans to add more. In-person meetings are held on campus at Brazosport College and streamed virtually as well; one meeting is always held at the Legends Fest convention at Brazosport College.
